Fast Frequency Sweep Technique for E cient

چکیده
This paper describes a new approach to spectral response computation of an arbitrary 2D waveguide. This technique is based on the Tangential Vector Finite Element Method (TVFEM) in conjunction with the Asymptotic Waveform Evaluation (AWE) technique. The former is used to obtain modes characteristics for a central frequency, whereas the latter employs an eecient algorithm to compute frequency moments for each mode. These moments are then matched via Pad e approximation to a reduced-order rational polynomial which can be used to interpolate mode over a frequency band with a high degree of accuracy. Furthermore, the moments computations and subsequent interpolation for a given set of frequency points can be done much more rapidly than just simple simulations for each frequency point.

Fast 3D EPR Imaging Using Spiral Magnetic Field Gradient
We report a fast 3D continuous wave (CW) electron paramagnetic resonance imaging (EPRI) technique using spiral magnetic field gradient. By spiraling the magnetic field gradient and stepping the main magnetic field, this approach acquired a 3D image in one sweep of the main magnetic field, enabling significant reduction of the imaging time. We demonstrated using a home-built L-band EPR system th...
متن کاملVariations on Sweep Algorithms : e cient computation of extended viewsheds and class intervals
Two novel applications of the plane sweep paradigm are demonstrated, namely, for the computation of extended viewsheds on gridded DEMs and for class interval selection on TIN-based DEMs. In both cases, the e ciency of the plane sweep algorithm is signi cantly better than a straightforward approach. The algorithms are presented by rst giving the plane sweep method as a general approach that requ...
متن کاملEfficient realization of the block frequency domain adaptive filter
In many frequency domain adaptive lters Fast Fourier Fourier Transforms FFTs are used to transform sig nals which are augmented with zeros The overall com putational complexity of these adaptive lters is mainly determined by these windowed FFTs rather than by the ltering operation itself This contribution presents a new way of calculating these windowed FFTs ef ciently In addition a method is d...

متن کاملNew Directions in Hfss for Designing Microwave Devices
Developed by Ansoft in 1990, the High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) has become the simulator of choice for the electromagnetics design of complex threedimensional microwave devices. HFSS has been used to design thousands of microwave devices more quickly and reliably than is possible with prototypes alone. This broad use has generated considerable user feedback and customer requests for ...
